Growing up in Olathe, KS he had big dreams in the world of theatre. Ever since Erick was twelve years old he knew one day he would be an actor. He got involved with theatre in seventh grade where his first play was “Zombie Quest.” The next year he continued his hard work and landed the role of “Chad” in “High School Musical.” This opportunity showcased Erick’s ability to sing in a way that no one had ever heard before. Still hungry for more, he auditioned for the “Fantasticks” as a freshman. Although he did not make the show, he did get into the freshman production. Exposure in the Fantasticks audition helped him prepare his audition for “Footloose the Musical”, that same year. After two intense days of auditioning, Erick was elated to find out that he had received the main role of “Ren McCormack.” As a freshman, students and teachers alike were surprised that an underclassman earned the lead role and applauded his natural acting ability. Last fall, as a sophomore Erick played the "Scarecrow" in Olathe South's production of "The Wizard of Oz." This fall Erick will play "Evan" in the musical "13". This past summer Erick won the KC Superstar Competition which is an American Idol type of competition among highschool contestants. Outside of acting, Erick enjoys writing poetry, basketball, wrestling and designing apparel and shoes. Erick is full of passion and will continue his journey to become an actor. His hope is to appear on the big screen one day!
